In 2003, Nicholas wrote and directed his first feature film, MAX: A Cautionary Tale. It screened at festivals around Australia, USA and Europe. His short films are: 3 Stories High, Hollow Bones, Hugo, Training Wheels, three Apocalypse Bear webisodes, and Flight. Most recently he was nominated for an AACTA for The Last Time I Saw Richard. His television work includes Snake Tales and directing the multiplatform campaigns for Conspiracy 365 (MNC), Dangerous Remedy (ABC) and Time Of Our Lives (ABC). In 2009, he attended the Berlinale Talent Campus – receiving mentoring from Tilda Swinton, Janusz Kaminski and Willem Dafoe – and the Binger FilmLab, taking part in the Directors Coaching Programme.
