The Ebersole Hughes Company

The Ebersole Hughes Company is a unique creative collaboration from the husband/husband team P. David Ebersole and Todd Hughes, each an accomplished writer, director and producer. Producing and writing credits include work with HBO, Showtime, IFC and VH1, as well as live events like the Silver Lake Film Festival. The duo’s directing credits include Fox Television, Sundance Channel, Lifetime, indie features, shorts, and music videos. Recent features include their first documentary HIT SO HARD, about drummer Patty Schemel of Courtney Love’s seminal grunge band Hole. HIT SO HARD was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award and a NME Award for Best Music Film. It had its world premiere at SXSW 2011 and was released theatrically in 2012. They are Executive Producers of the IDA award-winning ROOM 237 which premiered at Sundance, was an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival and was released in 2013 by IFC.

Most recently, Ebersole Hughes created Lifetime’s award-winning DEAR MOM, LOVE CHER a documentary about Georgia Holt, the mother of international superstar Cher. The Ebersole Hughes Company has also been Executive Producer on the feature films A REUNION (2014, directed by Hernando Bansuelo) and ALASKA IS A DRAG (2016, directed by Shaz Bennett). Their latest venture, MANSFIELD 66/67, is the first co- directing credit for the pair and it celebrates the legendary story of Jayne Mansfield’s fateful last two years of life on the 50th anniversary of her death.
