Born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1982, he studied at University of São Paulo’s Film School. He’s one of the creators of the music website MÚSICA DE BOLSO (“Pocketmusic” – musicadebolso.com.br). He wrote and directed CAFÉ COM LEITE (“You, Me and Him”) and EU NÃO QUERO VOLTAR SOZINHO (“I Don’t want to Go Back Alone”), short films that were screened on over 180 festivals worldwide and received 115 awards, including the Crystal Bear at the 58th Berlinale – Berlin International Film Festival. In 2011, Daniel was one of the creators of #EUSOUGAY (“#IAmGay”), an LGBT project against homophobia. His first feature film, THE WAY HE LOOKS premiered at the 64th Berlinale.
