Benjamin Parent was born near Paris in 1975. He obtained a degree in cinema at the Sorbonne Nouvelle and worked as an intern filming clips. He became editor-in an advertising agency before finally turn to writing (especially stand up) and the commissioning scene. In 2011, he co-wrote The End, a short film with Charlotte Rampling, submitted to the Berlin Film festival. He is currently writing his first feature film. This Is Not a Cowboy Movie is his first short film.
