A native of Key West and later Orlando, Michael entered the business via film and television productions shooting in and around Disney/MGM Studios and Universal Studios Florida. After several years, Michael headed to LA where he worked as a script reader and executive assistant at a Century City film finance company before becoming the Director of Acquisitions for Legacy Releasing. While with Legacy (1996-1999), Michael participated in the theatrical release of over 3 dozen feature films including “Shiloh” starring Rod Steiger, “Love Stinks” starring French Stewart and Bill Bellamy, “Eight Days A Week” starring Keri Russell, “Restaurant’ starring Adrien Brody, and “Denial” starring Jonathan Silverman and Patrick Dempsey. In the fall of 1999, Michael produced, created, and co-wrote the feature “Roomies” starring A.J. Buckley, Holly Fields, and Jennifer Lyons (distributed worldwide as “Wild Roomies”). Michael wrote and directed the 1999 Slamdunk Film Series short “Principal Don” and the 2003 Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival short “10:30 Check-Out.” In 2002-03, Michael served as a Segment Producer for the hit show MTV Taildaters for 3 seasons. From 2003 to 2006, Michael was the Associate Producer on “Final Approach” starring Eric Roberts; was the Associate Producer on the Christian drama “Faith Happens”; and was the UPM on “The Last Sentinel” starring Don ‘The Dragon’ Wilson and Keith David. In between those projects, Michael co-wrote, produced, and directed two horror movies: “Monster Mountain” starring Bolt Birch and Tom McCafferty; and the vampire thriller “Last Call Before Sunset” starring Karyn Dwyer and Lee Morrison. His upcoming projects include the teen crime drama “Suburban Gangstas,” the family comedy/drama “Smitty,” a love story called “The Guest House,” and another vampire movie called “Vampire City.”
