Timon Sturbej was born in 1994 in Maribor, Slovenia. He graduated from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana and is employed in the Slovenian National Theatre in Maribor, Slovenia. Before being accepted to the academy he won the Best actor award at the 2013 Teatralny Koufar theatre festival in Minsk Belorus, for his role Amor in Moliere’s Psyche. In June 2015, he took part in international workshops in Germany at the Munich Film Academy under the mentorship of professor Lou Binder. In 2017 he was awarded the student Sever award for playing Bernie in Mamet’s Sexual Perversity. For the role Zele in the film Consequences, he was awarded with a Vesna 2018 award.
