After appearing in a record seven features and shorts playing at SXSW in 2013, INDIEWIRE wrote the article “Jonny Mars is the Texas Film Star You Probably Never Heard Of.” That same year Nic Cage beat the crap out of him in David Gordon Green’s JOE.
Some of Jonny’s other recent acting credits include the Sundance premieres HELLION (the short) in 2012, PIT STOP, BLACK METAL, COMPUTER CHESS and A TEACHER in 2013, with DIG & HELLION (U.S. Dramatic Comp) in 2014 and an appearance in David Lowery’s A GHOST STORY in 2017.
